Visiting Research Faculty - Pharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology and Center for Lung and Vascular Biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine seek qualified candidates for 2 non-tenure track research faculty positions. Positions are available at the ranks of Visiting Instructor and Research Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidates will be working in the area of lung and vascular diseases including ARDS and pulmonary hypertension; focusing on the molecular mechanisms of endothelial regeneration and repair, inflammatory lung injury, and vascular remodeling. Candidates will write manuscripts and grants.

Candidates must have PhD or MD/PhD degree. Excellent writing skills are required. Ability to work independently and self-motivation is required. Good knowledge in lung biology is a plus. Position title (from Instructor to Research Assistant/Associate Professor) and salary will be commensurate with experience.
